Wymeswold Waddle Road Race Distance: 5 miles
Message from The Editor Firstly some thank yous: Top of the list is Jan Vervoorts for letting us congregate at her house on the morning of the marathon. Thank you to Arwen Vervoorts and Amy Cosh for their determination in walking the marathon dressed as fairies. Thank you to Maria (‘the whippet’) Boxer for being our top female athlete. Thank you to Richard and Clare Teeny for wearing the blue vest of Riding's Runners for the first time. A big thank you to Dan and Gillian for carrying me round the 13.1 miles and for raising £203. And thank you to everyone for taking part and raising so much money for our charity Framework. In total £800! Please note that I have not put anybody's finishing times in as I always get it wrong and end up apologising but if anybody would like to email their time and any other photos of the day I will have them posted on the site. We're also looking for events to take part in - running, cycling, triathlon, etc. in the build up to the full marathon next year. Any suggestions please get in touch with our Captain Mrs. Vervoorts on arwen@ridingandsons.co.uk. And finally, once again very well done to everyone for taking part, finishing and raising £800 for Framework. In the words of that great British actor Vinnie Jones 'It's been emotional'.
